Several activities in the Work

Among the many activities that are currently on the construction site, we
highlight this week, three of them:

1. Installation of the Metal Structure coverage for the Auditorium: As we
mentioned in the previous post, a comprehensive logistic study has been
prepared and is now being put into practice for the assembly of this large
structure, responsible for covering the auditorium of the Temple.

In short, the study addressed since the preparations of this structure from
factory until the painting, transportation and storage of it in the construction
work, in order to avoid any structural suffering or painting damage.

The assembly of the scissors is happening on the ground floor. Then they will be
lifted, and placed each one in its local to support the coverage.

2. 2 Floor underground parking : After running the drainage, the ground
preparation and its compaction are done. Subsequently, the ground
levelling is made with a highly accuracy device, thus enabling sealing
concreting of the floor.
3. Memorial Building: Finalization of the blocks concreting and beams of the
foundation and implementation of shaping and framing of the pillars, as
well as the wall of reinforced concrete ("curtain") of the memorial.

Metal structure of the Templo

Last week began to arrive the parts that will be part of the metal structure covering for the auditorium of the Temple.

Due to the large span to cover the auditorium and the large number of installation items that will be put together in it, the loading in this roof covering are really great and it took a long engineering work to achieve the best structural condition.

The structural parts (scissors) to be handled in the assembly were the subject of a major logistic study very well resolved and detailed, because the weight of each piece is 60,000 kg and the length (span) of more than 80 meters.

To address the assembly issue, this structure will also be composed of technical walkways which will serve for future maintenance of all the between roof equipments and also will support the very lining of the auditorium.
The parts that are arriving to the construction site after assembled will have the configuration of the image below.
