Technology applied

Every day, the work activities are supervised by professionals who seek to monitor the materials used and services performed in such a way that they meet strict criteria set out in Standard, and the strictest quality standards.
These professionals also use computer programs that generate a three dimensional virtual environment, where they modeled the designs of Solomon's Temple. This methodology allows a multidisciplinary analysis, so engineers and technicians from different areas can know potential problems that could occur during the construction phase, avoiding rework, improving the quality of facilities and avoiding unnecessary expenses.
This technology also enables achieving a detailed project-level executive end, allowing an overview of the Temple of Solomon still in the design phase. In addition, several items such as lighting, piping, location of equipment and even a building energy analysis can be assessed.
Here, beside the picture from the top of each of the three "Cold Water Tanks", which are still in the installation work. Currently, 16 meters high, the tanks will reach nearly 60 meters and will be embedded within the three main front pillars, at right side of the Temple.

First step complete.

In the last week of 2011, three pillars of 50 meters in height and 7 of 30 meters were completed.

The work has advanced on several fronts simultaneously, and each day, and this can be verified,  in just seven days completed more seven pillars of the of Solomon's Temple, while facing rainy days.

This time, were raised 4 on the right side and three on the left. This is due to the fact that we have, for this constructive process, uninterrupted 24-hour shifts.

To get an idea in each of these pillars of 30 meters are used approximately 40 cubic meters of concrete, and the higher with 50 meters, around 100 m³.

As we have a total of 32 pillars, 26 to 30 meters and six meters high with 50, will be used in molding its more than 1600 cubic meters of concrete.
In the second week of February was completed the concreting of seven pillars, six of which will be part of the facade of funds and the side.
With the completion of these,
now are 24 completed pillars,
missing five of 30 meters and
three of 50 meters.

These three will be the last, since it requires the completion of installation of the Cold Water Tanks, for its execution.
We know we have many challenges ahead, but the Spirit of Creation is at the forefront of this project.

We would like to thank all employees who have dedicated themselves in this wonderful project and Special all who have contributed financially to effective construction of the temple.

Prayer on the ground of the Temple of Solomon

During a program broadcast from Brazil, on IURD TV, at noon, Monday, 19/01, Bishop Romualdo Panceiro, together with the Bishop Jadson Santos and other Pastors, cry out for the people that sent the names and pictures to be placed in the columns of the future King Salomon Temple, who is still in construction, so that as the Temple is raised, also the life of those who sent the names and pictures will have the same evolution.

“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.” (Revelation 3:12)

“We want that, as well as these columns they are being raised, the life of these people also be transformed, and that next pictures that they will take, will show their life transformed” determined Bishop Jadson.

The names of the members from UCKG Ireland also will be placed in the columns of King Solomon Temple.

To send your name or for more information, asks to a Pastor on the UCKG Help Centre near your house or contact us.

Processing of the stones of Israel

In previous post, we reported the coming of the stones from Israel. (see here)
Once this step done has been initiated, the processing thereof. This processing is to prepare the stones - the model known as taltishe 25x50cm - so they can be installed in all exterior walls of the Temple, through a method called "ventilated facade." For this, the stones will receive a cut in its top and bottom, allowing them to be embedded in a metal frame attached to, and receive a waterproof layer that will protect them throughout
their life (see photo) .

Among the benefits of this facade, we can highlight the ease of maintenance, because each stone can be removed individually, and provide great comfort thermal / acoustic due to the space that is created between the stones and the wall of the Temple.

This whole process will be developed in the shed near the work where the stones are stored. A specialist company has been hired only to prepare this work, which includes, besides the processing, the selection of stones and listing them in order to facilitate the application in the work.
Once again our concern for the environment can be proven by extracting the residual dust of this processing, which will be properly collected and will form the compound of the pieces we make the grout in geopolymer.

Stones from Israel -The Holy Land

Some of the stones that will cover the Solomon's Temple has arrived in Brazil. Made in the quarry of Hebron, in Israel, the three rock types are stored in a shed in the neighborhood of Bras.
The process of extraction of stones was closely followed by team Engiurd, which recorded the time they were cut by backhoes, sawn into boards.

The first model, called Taltishe, which measures 25x50x3, widely used in most buildings in Jerusalem, will serve to cover the entire exterior of the temple, about 19 thousand square meters.

And to cover the internal floor, the model will be used Brushed Stone, size 80x80.

The pillars will receive a type of stone called Matabeh, which measures 50x100x3, who will share interim polished with rough cuts, giving highlights  to the external pillar.

But the creative team responsible for this large building does not stop, a new model of stone, with golden color, called Jerusalem Gold, is being considered to cover the altar.
The forecast final delivery of all the stones to be used in the project must occur by May 2012, when will have a total of 39 thousand square meters

Calling the attention of the world.

The news about the construction of a replica of Solomon's Temple in July 2010 was featured in Europe. The news was published in The Guardian in England. And was featured in the traditional New York Times, United States.

The title of the article suggests that the new Temple would leave the statue of Christ the Redeemer in the shade, as it will be twice as large as the construction of the Rio de Janeiro. As The New York Times, the news was based on published posts on the blog of Bishop Macedo, disclosing the details of the dimensions of the building.

The example of these two major international vehicles, other media around the world come to pass on the news of the construction of a replica of Solomon's Temple, whose work is scheduled for completion in 2014, and which, by its dimensions, must pass to be among the main architectural works of the world.

The New York Times highlighted the opinion of the president of the Jewish Youth Organized, Sao Paulo, published on the blog of Bishop Macedo, that the initiative might represent an effort to fight antisemitism, leading to greater understanding of Jewish culture to the Brazilian people.

The Project

Redesigning the King Solomon Temple from the Bible quotations became a big challenge - from the time we had the initial understanding that the scale used by Solomon would not meet the need of the UCKG for today. Moreover, at that time, only the priests could attend it, but this has not applied to the Temple we are building, seen that not only church members but also anyone interested may have the opportunity to go back in time and learn a little more of this amazing project. This biblical atmosphere was enhanced when the Bishop Edir Macedo asked to come from Israel, all the stones that covering the  Solomon Temple.
This challenge was designed from three bases:
Divine - guided by the direction of the church and interpreting the data of the Bible, seek to bring many elements that could actually redeem the atmosphere of the time experienced by Solomon.
Technical - the project meets all legal requirements and standards established by competent authorities, in addition to providing accessibility to people with any type of special need.
Environmental - the project will be the first religious building of this size to seek LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) - Green Seal. This demonstrates the concern of UCKG for with the environment.
Deployed in an area of approximately 28,000 m² in Celso Garcia Avenue, in the Bras neighbourhood in Sao Paulo (SP), the complex, which has almost 74,000 m² of built area and divided into two large blocks, interconnected, can comfortably accommodate  more than 10 000 seats.
The building front, equipped with 11 floors, comes to measuring nearly 56 feet tall, without accounting that 7 meters down, where the two basements that behave approximately 1200 parking spaces. The building of at the back will be interconnected, and reach the height of a little more than 41 meters high.
The lighting was developed for people not realize the luminaire (since they did not exist at the time of the Temple). Materials that period as wood, stone and copper will be used on a large scale.
The complex will also have Biblical schools with capacity to hold about 1,300 children, studios of TV and radio, an auditorium, and lodging for the pastors.
Outside one memorial was created with approximately 630m ², where it can be known not only the history of the Temple, but also the entire trajectory of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God.
The project is designed to cause the least possible impact on the environment during construction, by reducing the impact of actions in the area and using recycled and regional materials. Throughout his life, will benefit from strategies designed aiming at the rational use of energy, water reuse and heat.
The building will be occupied by members of the UCKG, visitors, employees and residents, which will enjoy comfort, security and all facilities designed by the team of engineers and architects, such as:
Parking; Air conditioning; power generation system itself, which will serve the entire building - if there is a disruption in supply of commercial energy; Lift smart and prepared for use by individuals with special needs; Equipped with the latest sound generation and video system; security system equipped with circuit TV; etc..
