The Social Work in the Temple’s construction
Since the beginning of the activities in the Temple’s construction, safety and welfare of the
workers has been the priority, also the cleaning and organization of this working.
The purpose of all of it is to open the understanding of each one of the workers, as it reflects
directly into their social life. An example is the literacy program. We also know that this will
translate into quality of services performed by them.
Systematically, the construction company has been developing this work through the Daily Safety
Training and specific campaigns. Also, for each collaborator newly employed, integration to the
group is promoted.
Here are some of the social actions:
- Importance of the use of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment);
- Campaign of the rational use of water;
- Prevention campaign against dengue fever;
- Tetanus vaccination campaign;
- Campaign for the prevention of STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) and alcoholism.
And do not stop there: we recently had a week of health. During this period, an overall health
assessment of the workers was conducted, such as:
- Evaluation of health status, lifestyle, socio-demographic characteristics, lifestyle habits and
presence of diseases;
- Measurement of blood pressure, weight, height, BMI (body mass index) and blood glucose test;
- Evaluation of dental care;
- Advice on healthy living and health conditions.
The result of this work produced a final health report for the builder with the diagnosis of all the
employees, facilitating the health planning investments of this Construction Work.
