Fifth floor

With the progress of activities, as we reached the fifth floor and we have some photos that show this evolution. As we reported in other posts, the work has been gaining strength and vertical line, because every day has increased the number of employees working on various fronts.
We highlight below some of the services that are running along the floors and are not always possible to be seen live on camera:

 * 1st SS - masonry, and plaster spatterdash; Waterproofing the curtains; beginning of hydraulic (marking drains);

 * 2nd SS - resumption of the execution of drainage;

 * Ground Floor - completion of the capping of the craft, masonry (Block A and B); frame and form preparation for execution of the pillars of the auditorium;
* 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors (Block A and B) start of masonry;

* 4th floor. (Block A and B) completion of the assembly of slabs;

* 5th floor. (Block A and B) shape and frame for subsequent concreting; - External area - start of excavations of the Memorial Building.

Literacy program

The work of Solomon's Temple also provides to its employees with low education, a better social interaction.

The construction company responsible has created a literacy program, which today is constant in all his works, with a term exceeding one year. As a result, promotes literacy to the maximum possible collaborators. To carry out this project, she has the support and partnership of an NGO (Non Governmental Organisation).

The two hours of classroom occur after normal working hours, from 18:30 to 20:30, Mondays and Thursdays.

The program ensures that employees have all the conditions for attending classes, including infrastructure as: table, chairs, blackboard or white and necessary accessories, notebooks, pens, pencils, rubber, etc ...

One of the intentions of the program is that at the end, they can know to read, write, perform basic math calculations and be aware of general knowledge - which in fact corresponds to the 5th year of elementary school today.

At the end of the program each receive a certificate, but has no official character, just symbolic. However, this knowledge base will serve to continue their studies at accredited institutions to obtain their official certifications.

The goal is to keep the "little school" running and developing its employees by the end of the work.

Use of "cage" for dismantling of shaping forms

The work of Solomon's Temple, by its magnitude, has great challenges in its implementation, one of them is the dismantling of the sliding shaping forms of the pillars. To give an idea, after the workers working in dismantling the shaping forms of the pillars of 30 meters, they were removed from the top by a lifting platform.

 But in the pillars of 50 meters, the platform lift was not enough to remove the workers, requiring intensive work to establish a basic procedure for removal of sliding shaping forms, identifying and mapping the risks inherent in this operation.Was defined then a work plan for implementation

of safety standards and sequence

of activities dismantling .

 The approximate weight of the slide assembly used for molding of these pillars is 2.7 tonnes. The contractor and its partners have developed a "cage" for the enhanced transport of persons, which is suspended by crane, following the decree nº 293 de 08.12.2011. It is noteworthy that, because it is a fairly recent legislation is the first time it is applied in a work, showing the line of builders with everything that's new to be used.

Sustainable Practices.

The Temple of Solomon has the LEED certification as target . Thus, he has worked in the adoption of sustainable practices in an integrated process with the project teams and works.

To do so, count with the collaboration of a group of professionals with the highest competence, such as architects and subject matter experts.

Differentials were incorporated to the design and innovative features that will make the building more efficient and sustainable, in terms of energy, providing users and occupants health and welfare.


Among these Differentials, we can highlight:

>fulfilled with environmental requirements and standards;
>Choose of the area (connectivity with the environment);
>Optimizing the management of construction waste;
>Choose sustainable materials and regional;
>Optimization in the lighting system, air-conditioning and reduction in water consumption;
>Smart elevators, which seek to reduce the waiting time, contributing to the best possible service to users, in addition to reducing energy consumption;
>Building automation;

>The magnitude of the project and respect for the environment of the Temple of Solomonis a milestone in world architecture.

Technology applied

Every day, the work activities are supervised by professionals who seek to monitor the materials used and services performed in such a way that they meet strict criteria set out in Standard, and the strictest quality standards.
These professionals also use computer programs that generate a three dimensional virtual environment, where they modeled the designs of Solomon's Temple. This methodology allows a multidisciplinary analysis, so engineers and technicians from different areas can know potential problems that could occur during the construction phase, avoiding rework, improving the quality of facilities and avoiding unnecessary expenses.
This technology also enables achieving a detailed project-level executive end, allowing an overview of the Temple of Solomon still in the design phase. In addition, several items such as lighting, piping, location of equipment and even a building energy analysis can be assessed.
Here, beside the picture from the top of each of the three "Cold Water Tanks", which are still in the installation work. Currently, 16 meters high, the tanks will reach nearly 60 meters and will be embedded within the three main front pillars, at right side of the Temple.

First step complete.

In the last week of 2011, three pillars of 50 meters in height and 7 of 30 meters were completed. 

                   

The work has advanced on several fronts simultaneously, and each day, and this can be verified,  in just seven days completed more seven pillars of the of Solomon's Temple, while facing rainy days.

This time, were raised 4 on the right side and three on the left. This is due to the fact that we have, for this constructive process, uninterrupted 24-hour shifts.


To get an idea in each of these pillars of 30 meters are used approximately 40 cubic meters of concrete, and the higher with 50 meters, around 100 m³.

As we have a total of 32 pillars, 26 to 30 meters and six meters high with 50, will be used in molding its more than 1600 cubic meters of concrete.
In the second week of February was completed the concreting of seven pillars, six of which will be part of the facade of funds and the side. 
With the completion of these, 
now are 24 completed pillars, 
missing five of 30 meters and
three of 50 meters.

These three will be the last, since it requires the completion of installation of the Cold Water Tanks, for its execution.
We know we have many challenges ahead, but the Spirit of Creation is at the forefront of this project.
