Bishop Macedo visits the construction of the Temple
This week we received again the illustrious visit of Bishop Macedo, accompanied by bishop Renato Cardoso and bishop Marcus Vinicius and their respective wives.
The aim of this visit was to verify the progress of the work, learn the details of the executive process and the various spaces that are running and will support the auditorium of the Temple, as well as materials already used.
Moreover, Bishop Macedo has participated in all the decisions related to this venture.
We also had recently, the visit of Bishop Julio Freitas (pictured above in the white shirt), responsible for the work of the UCKG in Portugal and Europe, in order to know the construction and at the opportunity he saw closely the dimensions of the Metal structure that is in its final phase.

A Little piece of Heaven (testimony)
“We came to the UK eight years ago with the same dream which thousands who flock into the country have – to make it BIG”.
“My particular dream was to open a restaurant in this country but my husband wanted to go back to Brazil and work on the farm. We couldn’t agree on what was best for us, because we had different dreams, which caused our financial life to be stagnant. Then an opportunity to take part in a purpose of faith called the Fast of Daniel came, so we did not hesitate. Our eyes were opened and we had an idea to clean houses in order to support ourselves. We used the little money we had to print business cards and distribute them in an affluent area. We advertised ourselves as cleaners and were very surprised at the response we received. Within a short space of time, our clientele grew and we were making a lot of money cleaning houses! We had more than enough to sustain ourselves”.
“However, the cleaning job was a fixed income and doing it for 8 years prevented our finances from growing. Also, during this time, I made tasty Brazilian snacks and sold them to friends, acquaintances and their families, and word soon spread. Everyone who tasted my treats loved them so I had repeated orders”.
“When I heard the UCKG HelpCentre was building a replica of the Temple of Solomon in Brazil, my husband and I were overcome by a strong desire to help. Through giving an offering for the construction, my husband’s vision was opened and we decided to invest in the restaurant business. We found a property but it was run-down and not fit for purpose, but we didn’t let that stop us. We made an offer and it was accepted”.
“Another opportunity to help with the temple came again and my husband was adamant that we took part. We had to choose between opening our restaurant – which, by this time was ready, as we had the property – and making a special financial offering to the Temple. We chose to give to the Temple. When two of our clients heard what we were doing and how much we wanted to open our restaurant, out of their generosity, they gave us as a gift which was six times what we had given for the Temple! We couldn’t believe it! This was, by far, the greatest act of generosity we had ever experienced. We knew that it was God who had honored us because He saw that we gave our best for the Temple, even though we had our needs”.
“Today, we are the proud owners of “Piece of Heaven” restaurant. And our growth has surpassed our expectations. We are fully booked every night! Now there are no limits on our financial lives. We are our own boss!”

Several activities of the work
The work is at an advanced stage with regard to the implementation of its structure, but we still have areas to be concreted, and maintain the same care from the beginning, thus having the same tracking.
However, we, internally, several activities going on at once, among them:
- Masonry (pictured above), which are also well advanced;
- Installations - photos above and below - (electrical; special systems, air conditioning and fire fighting);
- Finishes - pictured below - (ceramic covering) in bathrooms.
All these services distributed in different floors of the work.

Activities are being completed
We are facing a work with numerous challenges, as we have talked of more than two years of work. Some activities are being completed. Among them we have the structural and TAG (Tank of Cold Water), which since its design, manufacturing, assembly and now the assembling in the work, we have shown and will continue showing the step by step, logistics and the inherent care in a
system of this complexity.
We informed that the first step – the assembling in the work - has been
completed, but there are still two left: the outer covering of the tanks with
thermal insulation, equipped with a flame retardant additive, and a hydrostatic
test after.
After being completed these activities will be covered by concrete
structure, being similar to the others, so that will be embedded in the three great
pillars to the right of the front facade (who is at Avenida Celso Garcia looks at the
property). Remembering that now our NEW CAMERA LIVE may also accompany all
activities.

The New LIVE Camera
In the midst of so many activities that happen daily, THE MEMORIAL Building continues being built.
After the conclusion of the foundations, we had
a decrease the rhythm of its activities due to
rainfall.
But at the moment, within the normality, is being carried out part of the superstructure (pillars, beams and slabs).
The slabs and beams are responsible for receiving
the building loads and transmit them to the pillars,
which discharge those loads on the foundations.
From now on, all this work and even more will be
demonstrated step by step, since we have a new
camera that allows us to follow this magnificent
building and also the logistics of the work by the

Workplace Safety is Priority in the Construction Work
The Construction took shape and consequently more height. The
highlight for this result is how activities are developed daily. We can
make an analogy to the work as "little ants" (pictured above), so
that each worker develops his part, including continuing the work of another one - a true teamwork.
All this promoted and has been promoting a hard but rewarding
work, focused on employee safety. To get an idea, the contract
between the UCKG and the construction company foresees this
responsibility very clearly. This demonstrates that even before the
beginning of the work we already had a well-developed planning for a construction of this magnitude.
Throughout the construction work, we have been posting
subjects speaking about the safety of the workers, which has
been a priority since the beginning of the activities.
Seeking recognition and reward to the professionals, the
building has a "zero clearance campaign," that by completing a
month without such clearance, there is a reward to the workers.

The Temple’s Workers
The rain gave us a break in São Paulo, and this dry climate
condition favors even more the various activities that are being
developed in our work site. In this way, we could develop a very
good pace of work, so that we have already reached 36% of the
total project schedule.
An example of this action can be seen on the facade of the
Temple (pictured above), which is almost in its final height of 56
meters.
To achieve all this objective, the construction work has
professionals and consultants who are responsible for all the
monitoring, besides many other contributors that are no less
important, who also assist in this supervision of the work,
reaching already over a thousand, who work in various areas –
Like in the work site as in the businesses that need to
industrialize or adapt their products for posterior application
on the Temple.
These workers leave their homes very early, to devote
themselves in their own skills.
While others are developing their activities in the evening, so
the builder seeks ways to repay them with something else.
And for everything reported here, when doing monthly
measurements of the work that has being done, we can see the
progress of this great wonder moving forward.

Description of the Activities with the Metallic Structure
This week was lifted the 5th scissors, missing only three to conclude the
coverage of the auditorium. This huge challenge can be demonstrated
in the dimensions of each piece, measuring 81 meters long and 7 meters
high, reaching weigh of 60 tons.
At the end of the scissors assembly, the gap between them will be
completed by specific pieces, which will provide support for the roof tiles
and the bracing pieces, which will be responsible for ensuring the lateral
stability of the scissors.
The thermo-acoustic tiles, an important sealing element, are composed
of steel plates, filled by layers of cement plate, rock wool and other
materials, specified carefully by the acoustic professionals.
Each profiled tile measures 40m long by 40cm wide, which will be joined
by the system of zipping tiles. This system is widely used for construction
of large spans of coverage to ensure perfect sealing of the entire area of
the auditorium (81m x 81m).

New York Supports The Templo of Solomon (from Bishop Edir Macedo blogue)

We’ve watched as people of the UCKG in Brazil, and all over the world, have been helping in the construction of the Temple of Solomon in Sao Paulo. The people here, in Brooklyn, NY, have the same faith and are doing everything they can to help with this glorious project.
One woman mentioned how she had been saving up to visit Brazil in 2014 and watch the World Cup (soccer), but when she heard about the Temple she changed her mind. She is still planning to visit Brazil, but now it will be for the inauguration of the Temple of Solomon. She also made the decision to give and help raise funds for the Temple.
People are believing in this prophecy: “Those who help will become rich,” and many are preparing for a trip to the grand opening.
Mrs Greywolf has decided to use her talent as a singer to raise funds for the Temple. She originally came to the UCKG through our TV programs. She was sick, couldn’t go without her asthma medications, could not sleep at night and had serious financial problems, one of which was a court case that had been going on for 10 years. She learned about intelligent faith in the church and was healed. She no longer needs her old asthma medications.
She also won her court case. Her life has been transformed from water to wine. She surrendered to Jesus, was baptized in water and is very happy in her new life.
She came to us with the idea of using her talent to raise funds for the Temple, and so we decided to record this video with her and pastor Albert, the keyboard player of our Brooklyn UCKG. And we are even planning a concert to raise more funds for the Temple of Solomon.
Everyone here has the spirit of helping in the construction, since they know that many souls will be saved, helped and transformed by means of the Temple of Solomon.

Lighting Of The Temple
Recently, it was one of
the major challenges of this work: the
illumination of the
Temple. As it could not let be, we have separated
especially for the web
surfers who are always following the step by step
of this magnificent
building, two images that portray the intense work
of professionals that,
for four years, dedicated solely to the phase of
projects.
Much research time,
associated with the latest technologies available on
the market, make it even
greater lighting solution of this venture, which
provides comfort
combined with safety, thus treating the lighting as
technology and art.
Externally, when
observed at night, the building will get a new guise
generated from
high-performance luminaries with very low power
detail built into the
facade.
All efforts seek to
reproduce the atmosphere of the time of the Temple of
Solomon with the latest
technological resources that will give the project
the title of
"ecologically correct", because of its bold efficiency.

Lifting the FIRST SCISSOR metallic.
Since the beginning of May this year we have posted information
about the manufacture and assembly of metal scissors coverage.
We talked about its inspection at the factory, its arrival on the
site, highlighted its special features (more than 80 meters span
and weighs more than 60 000 kilos), showed its assembly in the
construction work since the beginning and the spreading of the work
to night shift, for the installation of this grand structure.
For all this work could be done, there was a thorough commitment
jointly by the contractor, to develop a plan for the assembly and a
validation of the designers of steel structure and of concrete.
The scissor have been lifted over the past week to its final location -
18 meters high, and the method used to lift it was by hydraulic jacks,
with close monitoring.
This is the first of eight metal shears that will be part of the roof of
Solomon's Temple.

The Construction work gets new rhythm.
The construction work gets once again a accelerated rhythm. To keep the original schedule up to date a detailed plan of attack was elaborated. And, without waste of time, it has been put into action, so that many other actions have been and are being taken, including:
- Increase in the number of employees: more than 900 are already allocated in the construction site;
- New equipment and machinery are being made available in the construction work;
- Advance from certain activities according to the original schedule: a good example is the implementation of the metallic structure covering of the auditorium;
- There are activities that their shift are extended by two hours;
- The main action comes to activities with 24-hour shift: cleaning, organization, supply of material in the work fronts, brickwork execution, among others.
